What is an On the Day Wedding Co-ordinator?

How can you help me?

Your partner has just got down on one knee and asked you the most romantic question you could wish to hear…

Will you Marry Me?

Amongst tears of happiness you reply ‘Yes’.

Once the excitement has set in you start to ask yourself… ‘So, what do we do now?’

Proposal - Engagement Ring on Hand

For some couples holding their wedding in a venue with an on-site co-ordinator suits them perfectly, as they feel less pressure in having to think about starting from scratch. But for others they like to put their own personal stamp on their special day by planning every aspect themselves. Some people have the misconception that if you plan a DIY wedding then you are totally on your own, but that is where you are wrong. There are so many different types of suppliers that can help, one of which is an on the day wedding co-ordinator…so you see, you are not alone!

South Coast Marquees

Whether you choose a structured venue or choose to create your own wedding, it is a good idea to hire an independent wedding co-ordinator. Their intention is to focus solely on you from the moment your day begins, whereas an on-site co-ordinator will be focusing on what happens at the venue.

It is your wedding day so quite rightly you want the focus on you!

Your big day is getting closer and everything is booked and paid for, but you begin to question how everything will run smoothly on the day.

You don’t want to be worrying whether the caterers turn up on time or the cake has been delivered, whether the fairy lights are switched on or the candles lit or even if the band will arrive to play on time. There are so many things, some little, some big, that just need someone to oversee them so you don’t have to worry.

Some people will plan their wedding day and their friends and family will very kindly offer to help. At first it will seem like a great idea but when so much time has gone into the planning of your big day, you want all of your guests, especially your friends and family to enjoy themselves.

You need to make sure that the only memories made are wonderful stress-free memories!

This is where Tasha-Mae can help you!

As an on the day wedding co-ordinator I don’t want to take over the planning of your special day, as you have chosen to do this yourself, but it is important that you know I am here for any help and advice you may need along the way.

The purpose of using an on the day event co-ordinator is to hand over the running of your day. You have done all the hard work so it is essential you don’t have to think about anything other than having a good time. No-one wants to be worrying that people are in the right place at the right time, so as a co-ordinator I will do this for you.

Dressed Table

Anything you need help with I am happy to do, whether it is decorating the room, meeting and greeting, serving drinks, laying the tables, clearing the tables, meeting suppliers, the list is endless! I can even come the day before to set up or the following day to help clear up, as lets face it who wants to do that after a beautiful day and quite possibly with a sore head!

There is nothing more exciting for me than meeting up for a first consultation to find out all about your plans. Every wedding is different so it is wonderful to hear how you have made your special day your own. I will keep in regular contact to check everything is going to plan and if I have any suggestions or ideas that may help along the way I will be straight on that email!

Following this, a month before your wedding we will meet to discuss your final plans and to run through all your requirements. A detailed time-plan can then be drawn up ready to distribute to all the other suppliers you have hired. Some of the information may be irrelevant to them but it is always useful for your suppliers to know the plan of your whole day, so they know where they slot into your schedule.

Not only this, but I will come equipped with my emergency wedding and events boxes. If there is anything you need at the last minute you should be able to find it in one of these boxes, which will be there for your sole use during your wedding.

You never know when you might need a safety pin or blister plaster!

Emergency Boxes

So you will have absolutely nothing to worry about, as I will be there to ensure your day runs without any hiccups.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life so let someone else take all the pressure away, so you can take in every magical moment.

Your day is all about making special memories for you!

For me there is no greater satisfaction than knowing I have helped to make a bride and grooms special day special .…that is why I love my job!

If you would like more information or have any questions, please just get in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Your DIY wedding planning journey can be hard work with a lot to think about and organise. For that reason it is important you actually enjoy your day without having to worry about who will do what jobs and when. Here you can read about Georgia and Phil's big day at Tournerbury Woods on Hayling Island and find out just how valuable it was for them to have a wedding co-ordinator to ensure they had a stress free wedding day.

In my opinion a DIY wedding is the perfect type of wedding as you can put your stamp on it and make it your own. Natalie and Jake had planned the most stunning DIY wedding at Bake Barn in Wiltshire and needed help with co-ordination on the day. Taking my team we made sure their day ran smoothly and to their time-plan doing all the jobs that needed doing. This meant they could enjoy every minute of their day with their friends and family - stress free!

Planning a DIY wedding is always so much fun but on the day there are so many jobs that need doing. Bex and Graham planned a beautiful and relaxed wedding at Warborne Farm in Lymington, Hampshire where the Tasha Mae team were able to help ensure all the jobs were done and their day ran smoothly so they didn't need to worry about a thing!

Planning your own DIY wedding can be hard work but also so much fun. Emily and Dom planned their own tipi wedding at their family home in Wiltshire. Taking the Tasha Mae team along to help with on the day co-ordination, we made sure all their carefully thought out plans ran like clockwork and to their tailored time-plan.

You have to love a marquee wedding in a field overlooking the sea, which is exactly what Keely and Dan planned for their big day. The Tasha Mae team loved co-ordinating their special DIY day and despite the strong winds and rain we all had a fabulous time ensuring everything ran like clockwork.

Winter weddings can be just as beautiful as summer weddings and after co-ordinating Jake and Laura's big day in December, I can most certainly vouch for that! You don't need to think of a theme with a twinkling Christmas tree, roaring fire and mince pies as canapes, what more could you ask for? Not only that but you don't need to worry about the weather as you've already planned it for the winter so you know what to aim for!

The beauty of planning your own DIY wedding is you can do exactly as you wish and after co-ordinating Cassie and Oliver's, I have to say there is something to be said for having your wedding at home in your back garden. With a relaxed, almost zen vibe, Cassie and Oliver had the most beautiful chilled out wedding day in the comfort of their family home and garden.

Deciding on your wedding decor is the fun part but on the day you might need some help putting everything in place whilst you get ready to tie the knot. Rachel and Ben had planned a DIY marquee wedding and needed some help in the morning of their big day to make sure their venue looked pretty and just as they wanted before everyone arrived.
